About Nehemiah Muhiri
Kenyan-born bass guitarist Nehemiah Muhiri is the creator and band leader of The Jabalis, Co-Founder of MBM-IAH Records, and founder of Care for the Creative Arts, an organization that provides free mental health care to the creative arts community. Combining influences of Blues Rock, Jazz, and African styles of music, he has created a new sound in the blues scene. Apart from directing and arranging music, he also produces and performs for different artists in a variety of genres. Some of his performances include the Berklee Sting Singer Showcase, Berklee Madonna Singer Showcase, and playing with Legendary artists such as Victor Wooten and Omar Hakim. Being certified by the University Of South Africa, Nehemiah teaches music at all Levels both beginners and advanced musicians. Specializations include Music History and Theory, Bass Guitar, Piano, and Composition.
"My prime objective in all i do, is to make sure everyone is positively impacted by the music I bring out with my team, whether its a piece i wrote or performed. After any interaction, both me and the musicians around me or the audience should leave a better person. I am a Christian and its my belief that all who listen to anything me and my team have worked on will have their burdens lightened".
